Larry Corson


larry300Larry Corson joined Wilbow Corporation in 2014.  Working closely with Co-President Chas Fitzgerald, Corson is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, capital relationships, and the financial and administrative aspects of Wilbow’s operations.

Corson has held key leadership positions in real estate investment and development for over three decades.  Most recently, he was Director of Residential Development for Cooper & Stebbins, where he was primarily responsible for the development of the Garden District, a luxury residential enclave of brownstones and condominiums located within Southlake Town Square, the internationally acclaimed mixed-use development located in Southlake, Texas.

Before Cooper & Stebbins, Corson was President and CEO of Crescent Resources, a real estate development company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Brought in after the company emerged from bankruptcy, Corson repositioned the company to focus on single family and multi-family development across the southeastern U.S.

Larry CorsonPrior to joining Crescent, Corson was a Senior Vice President of Hunt Realty Investments, the real estate investment arm of Hunt Oil Company, where he was responsible for the company’s land development activities.  His responsibilities included development of award winning projects such as Sharyland Plantation in south Texas and Cornerstone Colorado near the resort town of Telluride.

Starting in the 1990’s, Corson was a Principal with Westbrook Partners, a global real estate private equity firm, where he ran several portfolio companies such as Terrabrook and Evergreen Alliance Golf which focused on residential and golf course development.  Early in his career, Corson held positions with J.E. Robert Company, Trammell Crow Ventures, and Jones Lang Wootton Realty Advisors.

Corson is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Red Flight of the Recreation Development Council as well as serving as an Assistant Chair of the local Community Development Council in North Texas.  His public service includes past positions as Mayor Pro Tem of the Town of Westlake and as a Trustee of Westlake Academy, the only publicly-owned open enrollment charter school in the State of Texas.

Corson earned an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and a BS in Accounting from High Point University.
